There are a lot of things that changed in the real estate industry during COVID. Some were good. Some were not so great. One of the trends that I noticed with COVID was that people started moving closer to family. Those that were living on the East and West Coast and had family in the Midwest decided that they wanted to be closer and not just have communication via Zoom. So some of the trends were moving geographically closer and buying larger houses where you can have a multifamily functional home. So Grandma and Grandpa live on the main floor, Mom and Dad with kids living upstairs.
All of that created a better space for the whole family to be together, cook in the same kitchen, and basically be closer.
