You may have heard that you need good credit to buy a home. But what if you don’t have any credit or your credit is bad? Can you still buy a home? The answer is yes! There are a few ways to buy a home with no credit or bad credit. Keep reading to learn more about how to do this.

If you have no credit, the first thing you should do is start working on building your credit. This can be done by getting a secured credit card or becoming an authorized user on someone else’s credit card. Another way to build your credit is to make sure you pay all of your bills on time. Once you have built up your credit, you should be able to get a conventional loan from a bank or lender.

If you have bad credit, there are still a few options available to you. You may be able to get a loan from the government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. You may also be able to get an FHA loan, which is insured by the federal government. These loans may have different requirements than conventional loans, so make sure you talk to your lender about what they will need from you. Depending on the credit score, the lender might give you a working plan of how to get to a home purchasing position. If you don’t have good credit, don’t worry! There are still ways for you to buy a home. Start by working on building your credit and then talk to your lender about what type of loan would be best for your situation. With a little work, you’ll be in your new home before you know it!
